This is probably going to turn into a stream of random thoughts, but oh well. Mountain Dew does that to me.

Ok, is it just me, or is the movie Mean Girls extremely overplayed? Seriously, every other day, it's on TV and I'm ever so slightly tired of it. I mean, I was surprised when I first saw it, because I thought it was gonna suck, but it turned out to not be so bad. But now, I'm ready to murder whoever keeps playing it.

So, it turns out, that medication I was gonna be put on that I mentioned in my last post, I'm actually allergic to. And had a bad reaction to it. The nurse left, and I was at home alone, scared that I was gonna die, with my cell ready to call 911. It was not a good time at all.

Well, looks like I only had 2 random thoughts tonight. That's all for now, I s'pose.

New medication for the new school year

So, my doctors have started me on a new medication called "Cimzia". It has it's ups and downs. A plus is that I don't have to take it everyday. I only have to take it every 2 weeks, and in 4 weeks, I only have to take it monthly.
The downside is it's an injection. That I have to give myself. And I can either inject it into my stomach or my leg. And it freaks me out. And I don't like it. I'm fine with having a nurse or whoever doing it, but having to do it myself is just freaky.
The nurse who was teaching me how to do it was weird. I couldn't really understand her because she had this really thick accent, so I had to have her repeat herself a bunch of times, and she wasn't the most organized person in the world. She had to call me after she left and warn me of the side effects of the Cimzia, and all I could think was, "Isn't that something you should have told me BEFORE I gave myself the injections..?"
Oh well. So far I haven't had a reaction, so I'm guessing that's a good thing. I just really hate injecting myself with stuff...

As for the new school year and such, I switched out of my ASL class and into a 7 week English 102 class, starting in October. The downside to that is that it's on Saturday, 8-12:15. Not so fun. But oh well. I'll survive.

Classes Start Tomorrow. Enh.

I feel like I'd be more excited for classes to start if I were at a 4 year college, rather than FCC. I mean, the classes themselves are interesting enough, I suppose, but FCC is just so boring. There's nothing to do on campus, and if there is, they certainly don't advertise it very well.

Oh, and when I was picking up my books the other day, I ran into the girl who ran me out of my math class my first semester. That was a rather funny encounter....

On an unrelated note, I'm watching the Harry Potter weekend on tv. I always get so excited when Cedric dies in the 4th movie... Of course, then I get depressed because I remember what he became after he was killed off... The Twilight series just HAD to go and ruin him... Depressing, no?

Restarting the Blog: The Hobbit Returns

I completely forgot about this blog until recently when a friend of mine said he was starting a blog with a few friends and invited me to read it. It got me thinking that I should probably start this whole thing up again. Give people a little insight into my very odd world.

Since my previous posts, several things have happened, that I'm guessing are worth noting, as they'll probably come up again in the future:

1) Finished my first year at FCC. Decided my major will be film.

2) Got a job in a quilt shop. Boring? Yes. But it's money, so who cares.

3) Was in the hospital for a few days for a bad attack. In case you didn't know already, I have had Crohn's disease for 5 years now.

4) Was told I need therapy by my G.I. doctor, and am now searching for a therapist. Not how I thought I'd be spending part of my summer, but there you go.

I hope to post on here regularly about whatever it is I'm up to so that my friends can know what's going on in my life. Though, at the moment, I suppose it's only one friend who will be finding out. Ah, well.

Post-Halloween

I sigh.
I ended up sitting at home watching Tenacious D's Pick of Destiny and passing out candy, while my mom and dad went out to dinner, and my sister went out a partied.
Yeah.
Oh, and then at one point, I was gonna watch Halloween (Michael Myers and all that...yeah), and right when I was putting the DVD into the player, the doorbell rings. It's a kid dressed up as Michael Myers. WTF. I kinda freaked out a little.
Lol.

So anyway. That was my Halloween. The utter boringness of my night was me getting hopped up on sugar alone at home, while the world partied.

Nothing to do for Halloween

Yep, that's right. I have absolutely nothing to do on Halloween.

No money, so seeing a movie (alone >.<) is out of the question.

I could always use my gift cards for Borders to buy some movies. But what if they suck? It's quite possible. I bought the new Halloween (the Rob Zombie one), and it was an epic fail to end all epic fails. Srsly.

So, I'm lame. While the world has parties and goes out to have fun, I will sit at home, like a hermit, being lame.

Gotta love life.
